No answer. They knock again. They look at each other. They knock several more times. With each successive knok, the "knocking" seems to reverberate louder in the hallway. On the last attempt the door swings open, unhinging at the top hinge as if someone had broken in. Looking in the room, Monie and Hirlem both gasp in unison.
